Our team specializes in managing complex medical conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, and more. We collaborate closely with our award-winning stroke unit to deliver advanced stroke care, all while maintaining a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of patients facing acute cardiac challenges.
As an ICU RN, you will play a vital role in managing life-support systems, administering lifesaving medications, and providing compassionate care to patients and their families. We value respect, empathy, and strong communication skills in our team members.
We offer a comprehensive training program for new graduate RNs, featuring a 12-week orientation with a dedicated preceptor to ensure your success.
Responsibilities
Your essential functions as an RN will include :
Assessment / Reassessment : Systematically evaluate the healthcare needs of patients, involving families and other healthcare providers as appropriate.Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes : Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes collaboratively.Implementation and Coordination of Care : Deliver nursing care through evidence-based interventions to meet patient goals.Evaluation : Utilize critical thinking to assess patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.Discharge Planning : Evaluate discharge needs related to the care plan and utilize resources effectively.Professional Practice : Uphold the highest standards of nursing practice.Qualifications
Education :
Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.Experience :
Previous experience in the healthcare field is preferred.(These requirements can be met through a combination of education and experience.)
Licensure / Certification :
Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required during orientation before providing patient care.Maintain current BLS certification throughout your employment.New graduates must complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
