Overview
Hospitality Manager / Tasting Room Manager leads a team to deliver exceptional hospitality and achieve measurable performance goals (wine sales, wine club conversions, average order value, guest engagement) in a family-owned estate winery with a focus on direct-to-consumer experiences and brand-building events. Ideal for a motivated hospitality professional with winery management, restaurant leadership, or high-end guest service experience who thrives in a results-driven yet people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Wine Club Growth : Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and merchandise through intentional hospitality and guest engagement. Track and improve KPIs including : wine club conversion rate; average order value (AOV) / $ per guest; opt-in emails captured; guest satisfaction feedback. Train, coach, and celebrate team members weekly on sales performance and club conversions.
- Team Leadership & Training : Lead, train, and inspire the hospitality team in alignment with CMR values and standards of service. Establish a training cadence focused on wine knowledge, storytelling, club closing, add-ons, and guest recovery. Conduct pre-shift briefings with sales targets, wine talking points, and daily KPIs. Build a positive team culture, making weekends and events highly coveted shifts.
- Operations & Systems : Oversee daily tasting room operations ensuring best-in-class guest experiences. Manage weekly staff schedules via 7Shifts with labor % targets in mind. Utilize Commerce7 to monitor and report weekly on sales by channel, club metrics, and product performance. Maintain inventory of wine, merchandise, and tasting room supplies. Assist with payroll reporting and staff performance tracking.
- Events & Experiences : Partner with the Wine Club Manager to plan and execute release parties, private tastings, and member events. Support Marketing in executing guest engagement strategies and promotions. Ensure seamless hospitality support for winery events at all scales.
- Guest Experience & Recovery : Set and uphold service standards rooted in warm, personalized, memorable hospitality. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and issue resolution with professionalism and care. Foster an environment where every visitor feels welcomed into the CMR family.
Qualifications
1–2 years of hospitality management experience (winery, tasting room, or restaurant strongly preferred).Proven success driving sales and membership KPIs in a guest-facing environment.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Commerce7, 7Shifts, and Google Suite (or ability to learn quickly).Excellent communication and guest service skills.Must be 21 years of age or older.Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and winery events.Passion for wine, hospitality, and creating experiences that reflect Family, Stewardship, Independence, and Quality.About Casino Mine Ranch
