Job Description
The Director, Commercial Damages & Investigations will assist their assigned Managing Director (MD) with leading and managing assigned resources in support of achieving the defined overall practice area strategy, and in meeting or exceeding defined financial performance and revenue generation targets. Directors will proactively suggest potential solutions for new challenges / opportunities identified within their market. They are expected to perform as seasoned managers and leaders in overseeing and developing a team of consultants, including supporting hiring, placement and career development within the practice. They will provide leadership in a manner that models the Company's core values and inspires and encourages goal achievement through empowerment, learning, and creativity among the team.
Business Development, Leadership, Strategic Planning
- Responsible for supporting assigned MD in meeting or exceeding the defined annual budget for the entire practice area / practice division (including revenue generation, overall utilization of assigned resources, and execution of profitable engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature.)
- Responsible for supporting development of new accounts and retaining and expanding existing engagements within the practice area to achieve sales goals
- Effectively delegate assignments to assigned direct reports, instruct and monitor progress, and ensure work product is consistently high quality
- Supports MD in monitoring relevant data such as utilization, Accounts Receivable, discretionary spending, etc.
- Develop and foster relationships with decision makers within existing key / strategic accounts and cross-sell other service areas
- Meet or exceed defined individual average utilization goals (and incorporating consideration of individual revenue targets) as set forth by company leadership
- Directly manage, mentor and develop a team of direct reports focused on attracting, placing, and growing the assigned practice team members, with emphasis on creating a team and culture that is empowered to execute
- Responsible for learning business development methodology and for being active in efforts to individually generate incremental revenue
- Lead team of assigned staff members to establish and drive towards defined objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Identify potential new market segments and alert MD for evaluations and consideration
- Travel as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs.
- Establish quality control of service delivery, maintaining an excellent reputation of quality and lead and manage in a manner that assists with rapid resolution of any client, team member or operational challenges.
Operations

Bachelor's degree in a technical, science or engineering field (i.e. : Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Biology, Geology, etc.) or other advanced degrees as called for in area of specialization.Minimum of 8 years' industry experience within claims (delay, commercial damages, fraud investigation)Previous deposition or testimony experience highly preferred3+ years' experience as a senior leader of a division or department, including responsibility for financial performance and experience leading service-oriented teams in a related industryProactively take steps to begin individual revenue generationProven track record of customer relationship management and staff management and developmentDemonstrated leadership skillsKnowledge & Skills

The intended salary range for this role is $130,000 to $175,000 per year.
