Early Childhood Music Teacher - Adjunct Job at Inside Higher Ed in Baltimore

Overview

The Peabody Preparatory is pleased to announce an opening for an Adjunct Early Childhood Music teaching position in the Early Childhood Music Department at the Peabody Preparatory, a division of the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. Start date is June 2025.

The successful candidate will provide group-based music instruction to students birth to 5 years of age and families. The program follows a leading edge, research-based curriculum developed from the Music Learning Theory. Training in the Early Childhood Music curriculum is provided during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 classes per campus over the summer (6 weeks), with classes offered on Saturdays and possibly another weekday morning.
• During the academic year, teach up to 4 classes on Saturday mornings and possibly weekday morning classes for the fall and spring semesters (32 weeks).
• Potentially teach at additional campus locations based on availability.
