Job Description

The Automation Transition SME will provide subject matter expertise in automation systems during the BNATCS program transition. This role focuses on ensuring smooth integration of automated processes, tools, and workflows to enhance program efficiency and mission readiness. The SME will anticipate technical challenges, optimize system performance, and align automation strategies with operational requirements. This position is hybrid and based on customer needs; the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Lead transition planning for automation systems, tools, and workflows.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to automated processes during stand-up and integration.
• Advise leadership on automation best practices to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
• Support testing, validation, and implementation of automated solutions across program functions.
• Coordinate with IT, engineering, and operational teams to ensure automation readiness for Day 1.

Salary Range : $155,600.00 - $280,100.00
