PK 4 Teacher's Aide

Reports To : Early Learning Center Principal

Status : Part Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule : PK 4 M -F 8 : 30 am to 2 : 15 pm

Job Summary : Act in a support role to the classroom teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
• Supervise children when the Head Teacher is in or out of the classroom
• Help with the general housekeeping tasks
• Keep record of the periodic cleaning of cots, materials and furnishings
• Assist the teacher in any other appropriate ways
• Maintain a professional attitude and representation of the school at all times
• Faithfully implement the systems, policies and procedures as outlined by the Head of School and / or Preschool Administrator
• Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences as directed
• Must obtain Ohio Educational Aide Permit prior to start date, if does not have a teaching license

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MENTAL FUNCTIONS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
