Associate Attorney - Workers Compensation

We are a multidiscipline law firm with a team of attorneys strategically positioned across the Eastern U.S, focused on a variety of practice areas including products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, construction and commercial transportation, as well as employment issues in the areas of workers compensation and discrimination. With a robust workforce of over 200 professionals in more than a dozen offices, we effectively address the legal needs of our clients at both local and regional levels.

Our Alpharetta, GA is looking for a Workers' Compensation Associate to join our growing team.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

1+ years of experience working in a law office or similar legal environment (Clerkships in Superior Court will also be considered)

At least 1 year of experience in insurance matters is a requirement for consideration for this position, 2 years of experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in discovery, especially depositions, motion practice, and ideally have at least some second chair litigation experience at the trial level.

Admission to the state bar association where practicing

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues

Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements

Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations

Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases

Maintain billable hours as necessary

Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision

Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary
