Job Description
As the Manager of the Housekeeping department at Glorieta Adventure Camps, one will work toward fulfilling our mission and giving guests a great experience by maintaining the cleanliness of all buildings and upholding, creating, and organizing systems that foster an enjoyable and efficient cleaning process. This includes managing the various types of staff who assist in housekeeping duties.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold established standards of cleanliness in all guest spaces and manage staff to uphold the same standardsHire and train full-time staff to grow the Housekeeping teamTake chief responsibility for the inventory, ordering, and management of all cleaning supplies and linens for guest rooms and meeting roomsKeep the SDS for housekeeping all chemicals updatedKeep cleaning and servicing checklists updated and make cleaning assignmentsCoordinate maintenance repairs and pest control for inside the buildingsSchedule team shifts, team 1 : 1s, summer staff training, deep cleaningTake chief responsibility for the laundry room and coordinate linen pickup / drop offCoordinate the creation and update of the Housekeeping AppKeep up with logistics and make requests based on needsBudget forecasting and managing spending through Expensify and Bill.comCollect and document bids for outside servicesQualifications
Ability to communicate well with team members, staff, and guestsAbility to manage peers, full-time staff, and summer staff in a positive and respectful way when they are helping to clean under one's supervisionHave proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, basic math, basic computer functions, organization, and be detail-orientedA strong desire to learn new things quicklyA strong sense of self-motivationA personal relationship with Christ that permeates all aspects of his / her lifePrevious experience in any of the duties listed is preferredGood work ethicWillingness to perform routine tasks regularly and on time, with deadlines weekly and monthly for most tasksHave a natural ability or strong desire for organizationWillingness to perform many tasks aloneAn eye for things that need done and how to make them more excellentPassion for cleaning, problem-solving, fixing things, making things beautiful, leading by serving, stewardshipCompany Overview
Glorieta Adventure Camps is a Christian outdoor adventure camp located in Northern New Mexico. Our mission is to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth. Our camps are filled with activities and programs that are loaded with fun and tailored to inspire lives towards deeper relationships with Christ. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation starts at $17.00 / hour with overtime pay.
