We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Agile Program Manager to lead large-scale, complex enterprise initiatives composed of multiple Agile teams. The ideal candidate is an expert in Agile methodologies, especially the Scrum framework and SAFe, and is passionate about facilitating collaboration, delivering value, and continuously improving processes. This role will be pivotal in managing cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple Agile teams and requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the Agile teams
- Works closely with the stakeholders to understand priorities, manages expectations
- Ensure that the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on delivering to the Program Objectives
- Manage and maintain dependencies across Scrum teams between planned sprints, and identify / mitigate program level risks
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing periodic project progress reports and dashboards to key stakeholders
- Manage and resolve conflicts, challenges, and obstacles that may occur during the project lifecycle and across program constituents
- Ensure a good relationship between the team, product owner, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
- Facilitate and encourage open communication and discussion between stakeholders and project teams
- Ensure clear communication and organization of all strategic initiatives
- Work with Agile teams and stakeholders to drive adoption and training, ensuring they are using Agile methodologies and understand the values and principles of Agile
Requirements
Understanding Agile principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto and its core valuesMastery of the Scrum framework, including roles, events, and artifactsKnowledge of other agile methodologies e.g. Kanban, XP, etc.Proficiency in product backlog management, user story writing, and estimation and planningExpert knowledge of scaled agile methodologies e.g. SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus and relevant certificationsDeep expertise and relevant certification in SAFeKnowledge of continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) practices and test-driven development (TDD), Business Driven Development (BDD)Knowledge of managing projects being executed by vendor partners in an Agile environmentAbility to evaluate product / solutions as part of an RFP or initiative
