HVAC / R Contract Trainer III : Part-time

St. Charles Community College's (SCC) Regional Workforce Innovation Center (RWIC) in Wentzville will prepare the region's workforce for jobs in technology, welding, advanced manufacturing, robotics, logistics, healthcare, and more. SCC anticipates opening the RWIC in the Fall of 2025.

SCC has a part-time Contract Trainer III : HVAC / R position available for the 2025-2026 academic year.

POSITION SUMMARY

Teach lecture / labs and practical hands-on training in various HVAC and Refrigeration topics. Will be responsible for teaching HVAC / R principles, safety procedures, tools and equipment, servicing, and installation techniques. Develop class projects, technical assignments, and laboratory instruction to prepare students for careers in the HVAC / R industry. Courses may be morning, daytime, or evening depending on the need.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Section can be combined with Essential Duties Section)

• Deliver instructional classroom and practical hands-on training in HVAC / R topics.
• Develop and deliver curriculum that complies with industry-recognized procedures.
• Teach various HVAC / R principles, safety procedures, tools and equipment, service, and installation techniques.
• Develop class projects, technical assignments, and laboratory instruction.
• Prepare students to enter the HVAC / R workforce.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.
