R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Security Officers at our Daytona Beach location. Candidates must successfully complete the selection process to ensure we are providing professional security officers who are dependable and reliable. We are highly interested in candidates who are looking for a long-term career and take pride in their work, their communication abilities, and who believe in the importance of a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities will include :

• Remains knowledgeable of hotel security policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Remains knowledgeable of emergency procedures, check-in, check-out, and key orientation.
• Patrols allocated areas of hotel and property as directed and watch for suspicious, irregular, prohibited, or dangerous activities, situations, or persons, as outlined in hotel policy.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Manages the collection, safeguarding, and redistribution of lost and found items.
• Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Calls police, fire department, or ambulance in cases of a medical emergency, or any dangerous or threatening condition such as fire, presence of unauthorized persons, or non-compliant violators of hotel policy.
• Takes the initiative to advise guests or staff of emergency situations or the need to abandon facilities. Follows up with persons in danger to ensure their safety.
• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Maintains logs and / or records of activity during the scheduled shifts.
• Aids guests and others when necessary.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
