Select Medical is in search of Registered Respiratory Therapists to join their team in Cleveland, OH! Hiring both experienced and new graduate RRTs alike, Select aims to support career growth and personal wellbeing while helping patients in one of their most vulnerable times.

Location :

  • Select Specialty Hospital - Cleveland Fairhill, 11900 Fairhill Rd, Cleveland, OH 44120
  • Other locations include : Cleveland East, Cleveland West, Beechwood, Akron, and Canton

Pay :

  • Minimum $30 / hour, increases based on experience / location (to be discussed on initial phone interview)
  • Differentials for nights and weekends.
  • Sign-on bonus may be available!

    • Shifts : Days and Nights available, 3x12, 7-730

    About the Role : A registered respiratory therapist (RRT) is a healthcare professional who treats patients with breathing difficulties : RRTs treat patients with a range of conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis by performing a variety of tasks, including :

  • Interviewing and examining patients
  • Consulting with physicians to develop treatment plans
  • Performing diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis
  • Administering oxygen, medication, and aerosol therapy
  • Managing ventilators
  • Providing chest physical therapy
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress
  • Teaching patients how to use equipment and take medications

    • Must Haves :

  • License : RRT credential from National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent. May have CRT certification WITH 1-2 years of critical care experience.
  • Certification : AHA BLS certification by start date. ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience : 1 year of RT experience preferred, will consider new grads.
  • Education : Graduate of AMA accredited two (2) year Respiratory Care Practitioner education program.
