Emergency Medicine Physician

We are working with Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota. They are seeking Emergency Medicine (EM) coverage starting January 3. Trinity Hospital is a leading healthcare facility, serving as a critical provider in the region with an annual volume of approximately 30,000 patients. With 318 beds and a Level II Trauma Center, Trinity Hospital delivers comprehensive and emergency medical services, making it a vital community resource.

Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM Only)

Coverage Dates : January 3-9, with an ongoing need for 6-7 shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage an average of 1.7-2 patients per hour in a high-acuity emergency department.
• Provide immediate care within the ER, without the responsibility of running codes outside the ER or admitting patients. Write basic holding orders to facilitate patient transfer to the floor, after which the admitting physician assumes responsibility.
• Handle a range of cases, with an admission rate of approximately 25%. Complex trauma and critical cases are diverted by air and ambulance.
• Work alongside a dedicated support team, including RNs and specialty backup in hospitalist, cardiology, neurology, general surgery, neurology, ENT, trauma surgery, pediatrics, radiology, anesthesiology, and more.
• EMR System : Cerner
