Senior Decision Support Analyst
Health System
Location : Hybrid – Grand Blanc, MI on-site approx. once a week
Salary Range : $80,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
We are seeking a Senior Decision Support Analyst to provide high-level financial and statistical analysis to support corporate decision-making. This role is critical to evaluating the financial and operational impact of management strategies and driving system-wide performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver analytical operations support using multiple data sources; interpret findings to inform management decisions.
- Analyze financial and clinical data to identify cost-savings opportunities and recommend strategies for program development and process improvement.
- Support cost control initiatives and recommend actions to address cost management issues.
- Prepare strategic and operational studies, reports, and presentations to guide leadership decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems.
- Provide assistance during implementation of new systems and processes.
- Work comfortably with large and complex data sets.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :Required :Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field and 5+ years of healthcare finance / financial analysis experience OR 10+ years of relevant healthcare finance / financial analysis experience in lieu of degreeExperience must include : hospital clinical / claims and financial data analysis, working with large databases, data extraction, and proficiency with tools such as Access and Excel.Preferred : Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.Technical Skills :Experience with healthcare contract management or reimbursement systems and knowledge of reimbursement methodologies – PreferredTableau, SQL, and cost accounting experienceDemonstrated Proforma and Cost Accounting expertiseAdditional Details
This is a hybrid position with weekly in-office collaboration. The hiring manager is particularly interested in candidates who bring strong proforma modeling and cost accounting experience.
