Registered Nurse (RN) - Peds Residential (OPWDD)

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their residential facilities (pediatric) in the Bronx. About the Opportunity : Start Date : ASAP Assignment Length : Ongoing Schedule : Monday to Friday Hours : 12pm-8pm / 1pm-9pm / 2pm-10pm / 3pm-11pm (flexible) Call : None Setting : School Population : 24 students Responsibilities : Deliver direct nursing care to children throughout the evening Monitor student health status and respond to medical issues as they arise Support staff with health documentation, compliance audits, and reporting Communicate with families and interdisciplinary teams when appropriate Administer emergency medications as needed (e.g., seizure protocols, EpiPen) Qualifications : Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license Must pass required background checks (including SCR) Desired Skills : 1 year of experience working with children or adults with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities Experience with School-based Nursing
