Job Overview :
The Carpenter Lead is responsible for management and production of construction projects within the specified timelines. Develops and maintains a positive professional relationship with internal and external customers. Provides leadership and educates all on-site production carpenters and laborers. Responsible for a well-organized project that has the highest quality standards and above all promotes a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Your Responsibilities :
Maintain a Safe Jobsite
- Maintain and enforce the OSHA Safety Compliance Program with all employees and subcontractors
- Maintain all safety related items such as First Aid Kit, and all related forms
- Submit safety incident reports for each unsafe violation observed. This report must be submitted no later than 24 hours after any incident.
Customer Experience
Conduct a weekly meeting with client, Project Manager and Salesperson for review of job progressCommunicate with Project Manager regarding any major changes in your clientsMake sure that projects are broom cleaned at the end of each day and thoroughly on FridaysHelp clients any way possible through the ups and downs of the remodeling experienceSupervision
Supervise all employees and subcontractors in activities so they will be productive at job sitesManage and monitor expenditures to stay within project budgetsProtect the client’s property from theft, damage or weather-related lossSupervise all related paperwork as needed and all on-site organizationCreate a positive, productive teamwork environmentWork closely with Project Manager on all, or any changes on a daily basisOversee the use of machinery and equipmentManagement
Manage weekly schedule :Create weekly job schedule in conjunction with Project ManagerMaintain job activity to ensure completion of job scheduleReview schedule daily to provide future workManage employees :Responsible for oversight and training of CarpentersSchedule work force that is needed a week in advance with Project ManagerManage subcontractors :Schedule to ensure on time start of subcontract phaseEnsures that project is ready for subcontractorsSupervise all subcontractors during work phaseFollow-up each sub to ensure completion of work according to plans and specificationsCoordinate with Project Manager regarding all subcontractor inspectionsManage materials :Maintain a 3-day supply of materials on site at all timesStore and protect all materials on-site from weather damage, theft, etc.Schedule excess materials for return and credit in a timely mannerKeep track and order all special-order products that might take longer lead times so that they will arrive on time.Carpentry
Capable of reading and understanding construction blueprints and specificationsCompetent in all phases of residential constructionKeep vehicle well maintained and fully stocked and organized with tools and supplies to do any job from demolition to finish work at all timesPerforms all advanced carpentry dutiesCapable of doing takeoffsResponsible for all quality and efficiencyCapable of training / teaching upcoming field staffSome rotational emergency on-call requiredOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities :
Supervise and manage Carpenters, Laborers, and SubcontractorsAssign, monitor, and manage tasks and responsibilities on a regular basis. Provide coaching and disciplinary actions, as necessary.Skills & Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent7+ years of proven experience as a lead carpenter5+ years of residential building experienceUnderstanding of property services industry preferred7+ years of supervisory experience (preferred)Ability to pass skills assessmentExcellent written and verbal communicationProblem solvingTeamwork-focusedProficient with Microsoft Office 356Time management and organizational skillsPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs for extended periods of timeAbility to load / unload 75 lbs for a short period of timeMaintain valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurabilityAbility to safely climb ladders and withstand heights of a 2-story buildingAbility to lift heavy objects and carry them limited distancesAdequate transportation to be supplied by the employeeAbility to independently carry all required tools, equipment, and materialsWhat We Offer :

Compensation : $35-40 hourly
