Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Plainfield, CT, is seeking multiple Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students in a full-semester contract position. This role offers an opportunity to provide valuable services in a dynamic educational environment serving diverse learners, including students with Autism and those using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.

Responsibilities include :

  • Conducting speech and language assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing therapeutic interventions to students from PreK through 12th grade
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
  • Managing caseloads efficiently and maintaining detailed documentation
  • Assisting students with communication challenges, including those who use AAC devices or have Autism

Position Details :

  • Part-time support for PreK students
  • Full-time positions for K-3rd grade (8 : 45 AM3 : 45 PM) and 6th-12th grade (7 : 15 AM2 : 15 PM)
  • Full-time schedule approximately 35 hours per week
  • Location : Plainfield, CT
  • Qualifications :

  • Must hold a valid Connecticut license for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current teaching certification in Connecticut is required
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
  • Experience working with AAC devices and Autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
