Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hands-on Assistant Production Supervisor to join our team.

This position works under the direction of the Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a textile manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for making sure production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule, while maintaining quality and supporting your team on the floor.

Before taking on full supervisory duties, you will learn each key position on the production line. Understanding how every job works is an important part of becoming an effective supervisor in our plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations

  • Supervise and guide production employees during the shift.
  • Make sure all machines and equipment are running properly and safely.
  • Follow production plans to meet quantity, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Check work areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and order.

2. Team Management

  • Oversee 25–40 hourly workers on the production line.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
  • Train new employees and make sure all workers follow company procedures.
  • Report attendance, discipline, or performance issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • 3. Quality and Safety

  • Monitor product quality during production and stop operations if defects occur.
  • Enforce all company safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Report unsafe acts, damaged equipment, or near-miss incidents immediately.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
  • 4. Coordination and Reporting

  • Communicate clearly with maintenance, warehouse, and other departments to solve production problems quickly.
  • Keep accurate daily records of output, downtime, and any production issues.
  • Follow directions from higher management and carry out assigned tasks promptly.
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn all areas of production.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and handle fast-paced work.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must tolerate indoor factory conditions with cotton dust and noise.
  • Work Schedule and Pay

  • Full-time position based in Lancaster County, SC.
  • Shifts available :
  • Day : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

    Night : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

  • Pay rate : $17.00 – $19.50 per hour, depending on experience.
