Critical Mass is hiring : Quality Control Director (Creative) in San Jose

We are seeking a full-time, Quality Control (QC) Director to lead as an architect, influencer, mentor, and manager as part of Critical Mass’ innovative studio, ArtBot . The ArtBot Studio’s cutting-edge creative content automation service and content production teams are rapidly growing and require a results-driven leader to enhance our quality standards and scale QC to serve more clients globally.

The team you lead provides creative quality assurances for all content flowing through the system, including final visual, typographical, and grammatical approvals. You will provide practical leadership for a team of quality control leads and specialists responsible for QC planning, collaboration, and execution across all clients in our content automation ecosystem. Your goal is to ensure the delivery of exemplary quality standards.

Your professional and structured leadership approach to QC reflects the culture, service, and capabilities of ArtBot, serving as a crucial part of its growth and future success.

You understand that automation and innovation, especially with the latest AI tools, are fundamental to QC. Your ability to provide leadership and guidance on scaling your team’s work is essential to deliver fast and accurate QC support to our clients.

You are an excellent communicator who collaborates closely with your internal team of specialists, other ArtBot leaders, and account teams to ensure your practice meets its commitments. Managing risks and overseeing QC can be challenging, but your organizational and interpersonal skills are up to the task.

You are a self-starter engaged in integrating QC into all project phases, from start to finish. You apply your QC skills to various production outputs, including videos, mobile applications, HTML banners, and digital products. You thrive in the fast-paced advertising environment and are committed to supporting the team.

Job Location : Costa Rica

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the QC practice and manage your team of QC leads and specialists.
• Collaborate with other discipline directors to develop a cohesive approach to the end-to-end workflow of intelligent content production.
• Lead requirement gathering and risk analysis by enforcing and improving QC workflows across clients.
• Support, mentor, and oversee the work of QC specialists.
• Plan, scope, and estimate QC program efforts.
• Evaluate, maintain, and administer QC testing tools.
• Monitor production compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Recommend talent acquisition, negotiate, and hire contract crew / vendors.
