Job Description

  • Lead the design and development of complex electrical and power management systems.
  • Create, modify, and evaluate existing designs, electronic parts, and integrated circuitry.
  • Design AC / DC and DC / DC medium / low voltage switch-mode power supplies using various circuit topologies.
  • Manage electrical design processes including PCB layout, mechanical design coordination, and documentation.
  • Ensure product compliance with safety, EMI / RFI, and agency approval standards.

Responsibilities

  • Specify and select components for power applications and system designs.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize AC and DC power supplies, inverters, UPS, and distribution systems.
  • Develop and analyze circuit topologies with an emphasis on manufacturability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to release designs to manufacturing.
  • Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement of power conversion products.
  • Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics or electrical design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of schematic design, PCB layout, wiring diagrams, and EMI / RFI mitigation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot down to the component level in power systems.
  • Experience with UPS, switch-mode power supplies, and ruggedized systems for defense / aerospace.
