Overview Digital Producer - PT, Houston, TX. ABC Owned TV Stations is seeking a highly engaged news producer to produce television and digital content for multiple platforms, with a strong focus on 24 / 7 streaming content.

We operate in a fast-paced, high-energy newsroom with high expectations for quality. Curiosity, solid writing skills and willingness to learn are important, as strategies may pivot quickly and daily responsibilities can vary across the newsroom.

Our aim is to produce TV content for linear broadcasts (including full newscasts), write stories, produce breaking news, create original videos, produce live streams, optimize content for reach and impact, and manage content for social media to engage our audience. The role involves contributing across various tasks as needs arise.

Responsibilities Write stories and produce breaking news

Produce live streams and TV content for linear broadcasts

Optimize content for reach and impact

Assist in managing content for social media and audience engagement

Work across multiple platforms and adapt to daily priorities

Basic Qualifications Experience in a production or newsroom environment

Background in journalism or related discipline

Strong editorial skills, good news judgment and social media expertise

Excellent communication and writing with proficiency in grammar, spelling and punctuation

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced news environment

Understanding of social strategy and SEO; ability to keep up with emerging platforms

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Proficient with AP style

Experience with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop (or similar nonlinear editing programs)

Flexible and willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends; adaptable to change

Required Education Bachelor’s Degree (related degree preferred in Journalism, TV / Production, etc.)
