About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in this role or similar

License : N / A

Certifications : Certification from a recognized national certifying agency

Must-Have :

Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science

Experience with Urinalysis and Coagulation testing

Experience with manual differentials

Experience with Beckman Coulter or Stago equipment

Candidates with laboratory information systems experience are preferred

Description :

Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader, and / or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and / or other body fluids or specimens.

This involves manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.

May perform phlebotomy as needed.

Candidates will be working on the Hematology side of the lab.

Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions is required.

Ability to communicate effectively with others is essential.
