Job Purpose / Summary : We are seeking a skilled Rapid Prototyping Engineer to support design and prototyping of various embedded systems for iterative testing and refinement. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in embedded prototyping, rapid hardware prototyping including 3D printing and CNC, wireless communications, and basic RF and power circuit designs. This position is perfect for someone passionate about designing rapid and iterative prototypes for cutting-edge RF and communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform low quantity prototyping of small electromechanical systems, including enclosures, antenna assemblies, mounts, and rack-based computer systems.
• Evaluate material, finish, and subcomponent options based on provided requirements, providing recommendations for optimal performance.
• Work with machinists and technicians to operate lab equipment including mills, laths, 3D printers, and PCB printing equipment.
• Support demonstrations of prototypes to end users, gathering feedback to be translated into subsequent implementation requirements.
