American Traveler seeks an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute care hospital inpatient setting, with BLS certification and state licensure required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short term acute care, inpatient rehabilitation settingMonday through Friday day shifts (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM, flexible start up to 8 : 00 AM)Required to work one full weekend per 4-week period with a weekday off that weekServe diverse patient populations including cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, trauma, surgical, oncology, and general medicineUtilize special equipment including SPH equipment, vital carts, iPad interpreter, and ADL suppliesRequired to float within therapy service lines as needed within the hospitalNo floating to sister facilities requiredEPIC charting system used; experience with EPIC requiredScrub color is black or greyEstablish and implement individual treatment plans, considering patients' discharge needs and expected functional statusProvide patient and family education and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare teamDelegate appropriate interventions to assistants and technicians based on competency and patient needsComplete all documentation in accordance with departmental policiesRole is focused on primary inpatient careFacility is a teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma centerFirst-time travelers are accepted for this assignmentNo local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radiusReturn staff must wait one year before returning as a travelerMaximum 7 days of requested time off within a 13-week contract; no time off allowed during the first week of assignmentDay shift assignment with required participation in weekend coverageParking information provided during orientation; monthly parking passes available for a fee\n \n Requirements\n
