Engineering Manager
Become a part of something IMPACT-FUL! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The Lockheed Martin GMD Weapon System (GWS) team is seeking a technically versatile and savvy individual to lead a diverse team of Multi-disciplined Engineers to modernize current processes, products and procedures. As an Engineering Manager, you will :
- Serve the technical team in achieving its objectives through all phases of a program using DevSecOps approaches : from architecture and requirements development through system integration and test, verification, and initialization and operations support
- Grow the team, expand skill sets and deepen bench strengths to meet anticipated program needs
- Establish, manage, and communicate team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
- Manage team resources, staffing, and progress
- Provide programmatic and proposal support
- Contribute shoulder-to-shoulder with team members where the successful candidate's background and experience aligns with the technical thrusts of the team
- Learn and grow with the team

Basic Qualifications :
Current member of the GWS teamBachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Aerospace, Mechanical, Logistics, Engineering or related discipline combined with experience and / or specialized training commensurate with the positionFamiliarity with agile processes and tools such as Jira and ConfluencePrevious technical leadership experienceActive DoD Secret clearanceDesired Skills :
Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to changing prioritiesProject Leadership / Management Experience throughout the engineering life cycle : scoping, sizing, cost estimation, planning, scheduling, staffing, tracking and earned value managementExperience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans / requirements, etc.)Experience working collaboratively with subcontractors, customers and geographically dispersed teammatesPreparation and participation in program milestone reviews such as ITR, PI planning, PDR and CDRExcellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skillsThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
