WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration and safekeeping of materials stored in the warehouse. This role includes optimizing space usage, fulfilling orders, conducting cyclical inventories, preparing reports, and supervising staff. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will be :

  • Inventory Management and Control (must be knowledgeable about FIFO, LIFO and FEFO methodologies).
  • Supervision of personnel for the activities of receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipments and adhering to safety protocols and company policies
  • Establishment of the warehouse distribution and guaranteeing the efficient use of space.
  • Search for suppliers and request quotes as needed for warehouse operations.
  • Administer sample requests and manage their fulfillment.
  • Elaboration of reports and statistics regularly, including the analysis and report of inventory differences (monthly) and the weekly report of samples status.
  • Calculation of key performance indicators (KPI) for the warehouse.
  • Definition of the optimal operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge regarding safety storage requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Definition and implementation of warehouse management procedures and best practices, including processes mapping.
  • Operate forklifts and ensure proper handling of equipment.
  • Prevent incidents and deterioration of the warehouse by applying safety and maintenance measures.
  • Fostering strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Participate in the training of new personnel under his / her charge.

You should have :

  • High’s school diploma or Associate in Supply Chain area.
  • Minimum experience of 2 years in reception processes, departures, inventory control and personnel management.
  • Excel Intermediate or Advanced Level.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and statistics.
  • Management of Inventory Systems (not limited).
  • Ability to define and implement effective warehouse policies and procedures.
  • English language, spoken, written, and understood (Intermediate / Advanced). Spanish language is a plus.
  • Skills : Self-management, Coordination, organization and planning, Time management, analysis and synthesis capacity, decision-making, results-oriented, with a focus on customer service, verbal and written communication, problem-solving capacity.
  • Warehouse equipment management certification (forklift essential).
  • Food handler certification (desirable).
  • Driver's license.
  • Forklift license (electrical).
  • Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Physical demands :

    The team member must occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The team member is frequently required to stand and walk. The team member is occasionally required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
