Apellix is seeking a Drone Assembly Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL, assembling advanced, industrial-grade aerial robotic systems. Our drones are high-tech, precision-engineered tools that perform critical industrial tasks such as automated pressure washing and painting. Every build requires exact consistency, accuracy, and craftsmanship to ensure reliability and safety in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble drones to exact company specifications with zero deviation from established build procedures.
  • Perform precision soldering on wires, connectors, and small electronic components.
  • Install motors, sensors, control units, and other hardware with consistent precision across all builds.
  • Route and secure wiring neatly, ensuring every unit meets strict quality and uniformity standards.
  • Perform detailed inspections and quality checks at each stage of assembly, documenting results as needed.
  • Maintain a meticulous, clean, and organized workspace to support both safety and quality assurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated soldering expertise with small-scale electronic components.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot and correct the smallest irregularities.
  • Ability to follow precise, step-by-step assembly instructions consistently.
  • Understanding of basic electrical connections and safe handling of sensitive components.
  • Strong focus, patience, and craftsmanship when working with delicate parts and tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial, aerospace, or electronics assembly environments.
  • Background in robotics, electronics, or mechanical systems assembly.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for batteries and powered systems.
