The Role
Join our team as a Security Officer and help maintain a safe and secure environment for our organization. Our Security Team plays a vital role in protecting our associates, visitors, and property through routine patrols, access management, and emergency response. We're looking for a dedicated individual with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
The Hours
- Part-Time-30 hours a week.
- Saturday & Sunday 8 : 00AM to 8 : 00PM
- Monday 6 : 00PM to 12 : 00AM
- Must still be available to work all shifts if needed.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including internal and external areas, to ensure all security protocols are followed and safety hazards are identified.Manage access points by checking identification, badges, or visitor passes as necessary, and provide directions and assistance to visitors and staff.Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, alarms, or incidents; assess the situation; and follow appropriate protocols. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all incidents.Uses proper response, approach, positioning and non-physical contact crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage disputes, disturbances or other high emotional physical and non-physical encountersPrepare clear, detailed reports on incidents, daily activities, and any security concerns observed during shifts.Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.What You'll Bring
High School diploma or equivalent Preferred (verification of such may be substituted with active Security License class D and / or two years of verifiable experience in a work environment that requires basic math and language skillsMust have and maintain a Class D Security License from the State of Florida.Must possess a safe / clean driving record and be able to safely drive a LeeSar vehicle and golf cart.Effective verbal and written communication skills with sufficient proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook for communication, report writing, and incident tracking.Ability to lift 35-50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions, including occasional outdoor or high-stress scenarios.Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally.Strong customer service orientation with a respectful and courteous approach.This position involves walking up to several miles per day. Walking surfaces vary from concrete, pavement, gravel, grassy, uneven and / or wet / slippery.Why Join Us?
