Responsibilities
- Extensive experience in the development, maintenance, and operations of real-time space, ground, test, avionics, telecommunication (terrestrial and space), and encryption / decryption hardware and software systems.
- Design, architecture, and development of real-time data acquisition systems for complex spacecraft operations; support for multiple spacecraft processing; flight system bus development; integration, test, and communication support systems.
- Design, development, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures emphasizing data security, information assurance, and cryptographic devices.
- Software engineering and hardware integration for ground I&T test software and ground support equipment; development and use of embedded GSE software.
- Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements and specifications; lead design and development activities.
- Guide users in formulating requirements, evaluate alternate approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology.
- Develop system architecture and design documentation; guide system development and implementation planning through system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Interact with Government stakeholders regarding Systems Engineering considerations and resolve issues or conflicts; ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables in the Systems Engineering domain.
- Design hardware and software interfaces, including human-machine interfaces, ensuring interoperability and extensibility for new features.
