2nd Shift Sanitation Worker - COP

The Sanitation Worker cleans and sanitizes all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy related to GMP's and Safety.

Clean and sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers. Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications. Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads. Light cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop. Clean floors using the floor scrubber. Disassembling equipment. Pressure wash rugs. Clean overhead levels using man lift. All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures. All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

High School diploma or GED. General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment. Ability to make decisions based on standard practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve. Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment. Ability to run sanitation equipment. Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers. Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.

1 year of sanitation experience or more. SAP experience. Basic computer skills.

Ability to constantly stand / walk; bend / flex / extend neck; frequently grip / reach / lift / pull with L / R hands. Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing / pulling / carrying. Hair nets, ear plugs / muffs, hardhats, and / or safety glasses may be required. Product weight : up to 100 lbs
