Sr. Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

This position will provide procurement direction to the Cross Functional Teams and Procurement Department to ensure optimal sourcing decisions for complex and / or critical categories with little to no oversight. Must be able to perform and respond in an extremely fast paced, flexible, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

Primary Duties

• Develop strategic initiatives that monitor and improve Supplier performance by creating and executing corrective action and continuous improvement plans.
• Keeping Asia Contributors aware and involved in our sourcing strategies and leveraging them when necessary.
• Challenging the suppliers on costing when appropriate.
• Stocking program management, optimization and recommendations.
• ROI procurement decisions- challenging decisions where appropriate.
• Work with planning to recommend any hedge buy / safety stock updates / mrpcontroller changes based on supplier knowledge.
• Identify and develop sourcing plans for key commodities and / or products using strategic thinking andcross functional collaboration.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction commitments through the identification and development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Evaluate and select suppliers to support both new product development and cost savings initiatives based on total cost and performance analysis.
• Identify and negotiate with suppliers to provide the best pricing, serviceability and quality leveraging tools such as commodity trends and market conditions.
• Support development and deployment of a Supplier Relationship Management program to manage all interactions with suppliers and ensures alignment with company and product strategies.
