Machine Maintenance Technician
This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment to ensure machines remain operational and production schedules are met. The role involves preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and problem-solving to support safe and efficient facility operations.
Requirements of the Machine Maintenance Technician
- 8+ years of machine maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of welding, metal cutting, and related functions
- Familiarity with internal commercial electrical circuits, water, and compressed air systems
- Basic math and computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Preferred : bilingual in Spanish / English, Plex knowledge, and certifications in electrical or mechanical fields
Responsibilities of the Machine Maintenance Technician
Install, assemble, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic machinery and equipmentInspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions in machinery and communicate safety concerns to managementPerform preventive maintenance to ensure machinery and building systems operate efficientlyDismantle machinery to access and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, or cranesRepair or replace defective components and reassemble equipment to restore functionalityClean and lubricate gears, bearings, shafts, and other machine partsMonitor and coordinate work performed by outside contractorsProcess purchase orders for repair parts and maintain inventory of critical spare parts2nd shift : 3 : 00PM - 11 : 00PM Monday through Friday. (DIRECT HIRE)
Pay is $35.00 - $38.00 an hour, based on experience
