Fire Sprinkler Service Level I Life Safety Technician
We are looking for a fire sprinkler service level I life safety technician to perform inspection, testing, service and repairs of fire sprinkler systems and related components. This includes confirming compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers requirements, federal, state and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company. This is a fast paced and demanding role with high visibility within the company.

What you will be doing includes performing inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems, troubleshooting and performing service and repair of fire sprinkler systems, recording and documenting all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations, maintaining a good positive relationship with the customer, maintaining a vehicle in clean and orderly fashion, maintaining equipment and tools necessary to safely perform the job, evaluating customer site for additional equipment and services, working in compliance with the company's safety program, performing emergency troubleshooting of sprinkler systems, testing backflow prevention devices, discussing deficiencies noted with customer, and being comfortable with heights, working on ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces.
Qualifications include a minimum of 6 months of technical experience with aspects of plan preparation for water-based fire protection systems, the ability to calculate basic math, the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, and a valid U.S. driver's license.
Ideal qualities include 1-2 years of experience with water-based fire protection systems, NICET I Certification in water-based systems, and a state license in the relevant state.

Working conditions and physical requirements include overtime may be required, exposure to all kinds of work environments, varying work environments from hot to cold temperatures and exposure to dust, occasionally asked to travel overnight to a customer location, successfully lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and / or wiring, frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc, walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead, driving is required, and required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position in accordance with safety standards.
