Aoka is a third-party municipal services provider serving jurisdictions across Texas.

We support local governments with expert building inspections, plan reviews, and code consulting—powered by our proprietary software that accelerates inspection turnaround times and helps prevent costly construction delays.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspections with current ICC certifications; TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License required in Texas.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards across disciplines.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans and comparing them effectively with ongoing work.
  • Well-organized in record keeping and willing to learn new inspection or permitting software.

Responsibilities :

  • Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations; report discrepancies and potential issues.
  • Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local jurisdictions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare clear, timely reports based on observations and materials used or delivered.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns from clients and contractors, and offering practical solutions.
  • Participate in company meetings and training; may assist in guiding or supervising junior staff as needed.

    • Compensation and Benefits :
