Job Summary (Staff Technical Program Manager, General Assembly) :
- Lead and manage programs for the General Assembly line, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Project Lifecycle Management, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, NPI, Operations Engineering, etc.).
- Design and develop general assembly equipment / processes for brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Define program scope, objectives, and KPIs; translate business requirements into actionable project plans.
- Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks (technical, schedule, cost) throughout the lifecycle.
- Monitor and control program costs, ensuring adherence to budget and addressing discrepancies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, external clients, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration across engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance teams.
- Evaluate and support product design changes for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities.
- Ensure project teams prioritize tasks and meet key milestones and deadlines.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of products, production processes, and manufacturing technologies to optimize processes and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate to integrate requirements into manufacturing lines and implement critical actions.
- Organize and lead meetings to resolve manufacturing equipment design and installation issues.
- Track and implement changes from the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to align with project goals.
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM, or related field; 8+ years' experience in GA Engineering / Project Management, preferably in automotive general assembly.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, AutoCAD; knowledge of Catia and Delmia is a plus.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Location : Phoenix, AZ; 40 hours / week, with potential for up to 10 hours overtime per week.
