CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Technical Writer III.

Type : Contract

Job Title : Technical Writer III

Location : Hemlock, MI

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Hemlock, MI

Pay Rate : Based on experience

Work Hours : M-F 8am-5pm

Education : Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or STEM field preferred

Description

Seeking an experienced Technical Writer III to develop clear, concise, user-friendly documentation for engineers, technicians, trades, and operators. Documents include standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance procedures, and training materials. Collaborate with multi-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, IT, operations) to gather information and create documentation for a new manufacturing facility. Assist with coordinating and mentoring junior technical writers.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or similar documentation tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or STEM field preferred; extensive experience may substitute
  • Qualifications :

  • Coordinate team tasks and schedules
  • Support equipment installation, troubleshooting, and start-up
  • Maintain and update equipment and safety documentation
  • Knowledge of ITAR / DOD compliance; must be US citizen or national
