Position : HR Generalist 4 / Employee Relations within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Human Resources Division.

This is a Workforce Grant position.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, performs high level human resources functions, including talent management, compensation, employee benefits, training and development, compliance, workplace safety, and employee relations in support of an organization.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies consistent with overall agency objectives.
  • Compiles and analyzes data or information to produce reports, documents, and outcomes of personnel issues.
  • Conducts research on various personnel matters and compiles data, citing sources used.
  • Analyzes data or information to produce reports and other outcomes.
  • Coordinates and conducts training on human resource program-related topics and issues.
  • Develops or assists in the review, development, and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED and six (6) years of professional human resource experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Generalist 3 (HRP012) or position equivalent.
  • An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the listed level may be substituted year-over-year.

  • Human Interaction : Requires the ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit; includes the ability to make decisions on procedural and technical levels.
  • Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization : Requires the ability to operate and control the actions of equipment and machinery, requiring the monitoring, adjustment, regulation, and / or setting of multiple conditions.
  • Verbal Attitude : Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, advisory, and / or design data and information.
  • Mathematical Attitude : Requires the ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; ability to utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.
  • Functional Reasoning : Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units.
  • Situational Reasoning : Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and / or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
