American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) with at least 2 years of IR experience and ARRT or RCIS certification for an adult and geriatric patient population.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a combined Interventional Radiology / Cardiology / Vascular / EP lab setting with approximately 80% IR casesAdult and geriatric patient population with device implants including PPM and ICDProcedures include diagnostic and interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular casesUtilize advanced equipment such as GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR / IVUS, Angio Jet, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, IABP, Impella, and various ultrasound unitsDay shift 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per weekCall required : weeknight call 4 : 00 PM–7 : 30 AM, weekend call from Friday 4 : 00 PM to Monday 7 : 30 AM; typically twice a week for two weeks per month plus one call weekend per monthWeekend requirement is every third weekendNo floating requiredNo RTO allowed after booking; no RTO permitted during orientation week; no holiday RTOUnit orientation is 40–80 hoursScrubs are providedAssist providers with a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, with a primary focus on IRCall team consists of three staff members, including one RN; medication administration is completed by RN onlyCallback time for STEMIs is 30 minutes; IR callback time varies by procedureTraveler experience is not requiredCandidates who are previous PERM / PRN / EP staff must wait 12 months before reapplying and must obtain rehire approvalCurrent travel per diem clinicians at this health system cannot apply for travel contracts concurrentlyCandidate's permanent address under 50 miles will be offered at a lower local rateMust work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO allowed on holidaysTravel pairs are accepted if working on different unitsEpic charting experience is preferredFatigue policy limits working to no more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours in one weekOnline modules and training must be completed pre-start and annuallyOrientation and training are unit-based, starting on Mondays\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Interventional RadiologyCurrent ARRT or RCIS certification required; ACLS and BCLS requiredIR experience is required; skills must include scrub, circulate, and telemetryNC or Compact State license required in hand at time of start if applicableCharting experience with Epic preferredExperience working with specialized IR and cardiology equipment is requiredMust be able to participate in urgent and emergent proceduresDevice implant experience (PPM / ICD) is requiredPreferred : EKG lead placement skills, ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, or RCIS with medication experience\n Benefits\n
