Grossing Technician (Direct Hire) – Full-Time – $42-$48 / hr

Location :  Westbury, NY

Schedule :  Full-Time (Flexible Shifts Available)

Compensation :  $42-$48 per hour + Comprehensive Benefits

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced  Grossing Technician  to join our pathology laboratory in  Westbury, NY . This  direct-hire  opportunity offers  competitive pay ($42-$48 / hr), full benefits , and a  supportive team environment . If you have  hands-on grossing experience  and hold a  New York State (NYS) Laboratory License , we encourage you to apply!

What You’ll Do :

• Perform  gross examination and sectioning  of surgical pathology specimens  independently
• Accurately describe and document specimen characteristics for processing
• Prepare tissue samples for  histological examination
• Maintain compliance with  laboratory safety protocols  and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Accurately enter patient and specimen data into the  laboratory information system (LIS)

What We’re Looking For :

Required :  New York State  Clinical Laboratory License  ( Technician or Technologist level )

Required :   Minimum of 1 year of grossing experience  in a pathology lab

Preferred :  ASCP Certification (HT or HTL)

Strong attention to detail  and ability to follow standard operating procedures

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
