Location : Holland, MI (Onsite)

Compensation : $70,000 - $80,000 annually

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our client's team onsite in Holland, MI. This role will oversee accounting operations, payroll reporting, and month-end processes while leading and developing a small team.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the general ledger , ensuring accuracy of all entries.

Oversee bi-weekly payroll for 75 employees in ADP, reviewing registers, ensuring accuracy, and approving final payroll.

Partner with HR on 401k contributions and deposits; ensure jurisdictions and compliance requirements are up to date.

Complete and review monthly reconciliations , including cash reconciliations.

Assist with quarterly payroll reports and ensure proper reporting and filing.

Support AP / AR processes , providing oversight and guidance as needed.

Lead accounting staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.

Partner with leadership on continuous process improvement, system upgrades, and financial integrity initiatives.

Accounting Manager Requirements

5-10 years of progressive accounting experience across GL, reconciliations, month-end, and AP / AR .

Prior management or supervisory experience .

ERP system experience (NetSuite strongly preferred).

Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Advanced Excel skills.

NetSuite experience.

Work Environment

Full-time, onsite in Holland, MI.

Business casual dress code (jeans acceptable, typically on Fridays).
