Job Description
As a Pediatric Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical support to pediatricians and nurse practitioners working at One World Pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Charts for your assigned provider one day before visit
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms, autoclave medical instruments
- Intake Pediatric Patients on Athena health EHR in timely manner.
- Perform age appropriate vital signs and document in EHR
- Reconcile current medications with patients existing chart
- Administer vaccinations and perform point of care lab tests.
- Assist other Medical Assistants in performing vaccines.
- Assist MDs in performing minor office procedures
- Prepare School Forms and Shot records before check out
Skills
Proven working experience as a medical assistantProefficient in typing and must have worked with Electronic Health RecordsExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workKnowledge of childhood immunizations and common lab tests performed in office.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsTeam PlayerRequirements
Medical Assistant CertificationBLS or CPR CertificationExperience with Electronic Health RecordsExperience in pediatrics preferredMust be willing and able to work at both Longwood and Apopka as requiredBenefits
