The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Technology Asset Specialist to perform technical work associated with Public Services' vehicles and equipment to include : troubleshooting, installing, configuring, deploying and repairing vehicle on-board fleet management systems, other Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) devices, radios and other necessary electronics equipment for operations throughout the organization and routing / tracking systems; monitor software on all Public Services' motor vehicles; train supervisors and managers in proper use of all equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be :
Experience : Two years of experience with maintenance and installation of on-board fleet management systems. One year of experience in inventory asset management and / or solid waste management preferred.
Training : Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Management of Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS :
Required : Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability.
