Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is seeking Acme Operators that will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Acme multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision metal components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical blueprints and specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Acme multi-spindle screw machines according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and engineering drawings to determine machine setup and tooling requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tooling, etc.) as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Replace worn or broken tools and maintain proper tool inventory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or malfunctions during production runs.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper operation.
- Document production data and quality checks accurately.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve processes.
