Opportunity : VSO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior NOC Network Engineer (Tier 3) to join our team in Lorton, Virginia. This role is perfect for individuals with advanced network operations expertise, capable of handling high-level troubleshooting and leading network improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for complex network issues from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
• Lead the diagnosis and resolution of critical network incidents to minimize downtime.
• Conduct deep-dive network performance analysis and proactively identify areas for optimization.
• Design, implement, and maintain network configurations, upgrades, and solutions.
• Collaborate with network architects and other teams on network design and capacity planning.
• Oversee the integration of new network technologies and solutions into existing infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 NOC personnel.
• Ensure network security standards are adhered to and contribute to the development of security policies.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on network architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies as needed.
