• To thrive as the HR Generalist, you should have these qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
• Solid understanding of HR processes and employment laws including compliant Employment Eligibility practices.
• Basic understanding of accounting practices.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
• Experience in the security services industry, a plus.
• Familiarity with labor law compliance for CA, NY and TN, preferred.
• Your responsibilities as the HR Generalist will include :
• Onboarding & Offboarding :
• Process the onboarding, background research and set up procedures for new hires.
• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations, ensuring a seamless and engaging onboarding experience.
• Prepare and collect all required documentation for new hires and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements during the onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Payroll Processing :
• Process semi-monthly payroll in collaboration with the Director of HR.
• Monitor accurate entry of employee hours, paid time off, deductions, and benefits.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries in a timely manner.
• Transactional HR Administration :
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
• Process employment changes such as promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
• Manage HR documents and files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with employee handbook updates and revisions.
• Complete screening interviews for open positions.
• Employee Relations :
• Support the HR team in addressing employee relations issues, providing guidance to managers and employees.
• Assist in investigations and documentation of employee complaints, performance issues, or policy violations.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting engagement initiatives and responding to employee concerns.
