Summary The HR Generalist serves as the primary Human Resources contact for the site, supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring alignment with company policies and practices. This role reports directly to the Sr. HR Business Partner and plays a critical role in fostering a positive employee experience, supporting HR processes, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site HR representative, providing guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Manage and execute onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Administer HR policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives in partnership with the Sr. HRBP.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with the Sr. HRBP on organizational initiatives and change management efforts.
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve employee engagement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.2+ years of experience in a HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or operational environment.Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.Demonstrates a collaborative approach and maintains a positive, solution-oriented attitude in team environments with strong communication skills.Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence, including the ability to navigate interpersonal dynamics, manage stress effectively, and foster positive relationships across diverse teams.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications
PHR or SHRM-CP certification.Experience supporting a multi-shift or hourly workforce.Benefits
