Position Overview
We are seeking a Demand Writer to join our dynamic team, specializing in the creation of demand packages for submission to insurance companies. This role is pivotal in supporting our legal team by compiling comprehensive documentation and crafting persuasive arguments to facilitate the resolution of claims. Operating under the direct supervision of our attorneys, the Demand Writer plays a role in our operations, ensuring the meticulous preparation and follow-up of case materials.
Responsibilities
- Organize medical records, bills, and client documents into cohesive demand packages
- Draft and deliver demands to insurance companies, ensuring receipt and engaging in follow-up as necessary
- Summarize case facts and make persuasive arguments
- Identify responsible parties and insurance companies, highlight missing documents, and address potential issues proactively
- Proactively identify and address potential discrepancies, missing records, or bills that could impact the case outcome
- Work closely with attorneys and case managers, maintaining open communication and providing weekly updates on demand status
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and strategies, staying updated on industry changes that could impact claims
- Ensure all demand packages are complete and accurate before submission, taking on additional tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
