Photography Technician

Job Details : Job Title : Photography Technician, Department : Photography, Campus : Alton, Salary : Grade 3 Spine Point 10 - £23,895.82 (£6024.88 Actual Salary), Contract Type : 11pw term time only.

We are looking for a Photography Technician to provide technical support to staff and students. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the learning environment, equipment and teaching resources, and the supervision of designated learning areas.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for :

  • Organising daily activities within the learning environment, including the preparation of teaching resources and housekeeping.
  • Providing assistance to individuals or groups of students within the learning environment. For specific departments, this may include work placements and instructing / directing of students.
  • Participating in course review activities and the generation and implementation of new resources and action plans.
  • Implementing and maintaining the regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other related Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Distribution and collection of tools as required on a daily basis, if applicable.

Requirements

You will need :

  • Level 2 qualification in the relevant subject area or relevant industry experience.
  • Technical qualification in the relevant subject area.
  • Relevant industrial / subject experience.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant curriculum area.
  • Experience of following / applying Health & Safety Procedures.
  • Experience of ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
