SAP ABAP / Fiori Developer

Start Date : ASAP

Location : Remote (Client based in West Virginia)

Duration : 3 months+ contract with potential extensions

Travel : No travel required

Overview :

Our client in the Mining industry, headquartered in West Virginia, is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP / Fiori Developer to support ongoing SAP initiatives. This consultant will primarily be focused on addressing open ticket items that the client's AMS team is struggling with, requiring strong ABAP and Fiori / UI5 expertise to quickly resolve issues, stabilize applications, and ensure smooth operations. The role demands a hands-on developer who can work across SAP modules and provide scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP programs including reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, and conversions.
Build and enhance SAP Fiori / UI5 applications, leveraging SAP Gateway and OData services.
Partner with SAP functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in ABAP and Fiori applications.
Address backlog and open tickets in coordination with the client's AMS team.
Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Support integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Required Skills & Experience :

5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience (classical reports, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits).

Strong hands-on experience with SAP Fiori / UI5 application development.

Proficiency in OData service creation and integration.

Knowledge of SAP Gateway, CDS views, and Fiori launchpad configuration.

Familiarity with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI / CO, PM, or HR.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.

Nice to Have :

Experience with S / 4HANA migrations and Fiori app extensibility.

Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform services.

Knowledge of modern front-end technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, SAPUI5).
