Each team member is expected to deliver at least 100 credit hours per month, and the Managing Attorney ensure that the team collective delivers 100 X team head accounts credit hours monthly.Our unique service model ensure speed, standardization, and client satisfaction by structing every case into a clear assembly-line pipeline.Position ReviewThe Managing Attorney will be both a hands-on practitioner and a team leader, responsible for delivering high-quality legal work while ensuring the productivity and efficiency of the removal defense and federal litigation team. This role requires deep subject-matter expertise across removal defense and federal immigration litigation, as well as strong courtroom presence, federal litigation experience, and the ability to supervise a team handling immigration court hearings, detention relief, ICE reporting, and federal court actions, including mandamus, declaratory judgement, and habeas petitions.The Managing Attorney will be held accountable for : Direct Case Work : Competently handling complex cases and mentoring team members.Team Leadership : Managing 3-4 attorneys and 2-3 paralegals / law clerks to meet case deadlinesPerformance and Productivity : Ensuring each team member meet no less than 100 credit hours per month; managing a total team output of 100 X team numbers credit hours monthly.Accountability : Hold team responsible for case progress, billing benchmarks, and timely filing using Jira project management.Discipline and efficiency : Manage and lead team in executing our unique service assembly line modelKey ResponsibilitiesCase Work & Legal ExpertiseServe as lead attorney on complex matters in removal defense and federal litigation.For standard cases, attorneys focus on the last phase of service assembly line in legal review, sign-off, and post-filing explanation to our clients.For complex cases, attorneys may drive all phases of service assembly from drafting, finalizing, explaining, to legal review, sign-off, and post-filing explanation to our clients. to ensure accuracy and strategy from the start.Coordinate and manage attorneys for court appearance or ICE reporting.Review and sign filings, providing legal strategy and quality assurance.Workflow OversightDecide when cases should follow standard workflow, attorney-driven workflow, or non-assembly line workflow.Ensure standard cases, attorney-driven cases, and non-assembly line cases, progress seamlessly through assembly line.Team Management & LeadershipSupervise attorneys, paralegals, and law clerks, providing guidance, training, and quality control.Conduct weekly and monthly performance check-ins, ensuring staff are meeting billing and filing requirements.Enforce accountability by monitoring credit hour production, and case progress through Jira reports and dashboard.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with clear expectations, and consistent feedback.Operations and ProductivityCollaborate with operations to improve SOPs and streamline workflowsEnsure timely filing and adherence to internal SOPsMonitor and report case metric (credit hours, deadlines, client satisfaction) to firm leadershipImplement process improvements to increase efficiency and standardization.Collaboration with intake, customer service, and operations teams to ensure seamless case management.QualificationsJ.D. degree from an ABA credited U.S. law school, active license in good standing7+ years of immigration law experience, with extensive background in removal defense and federal litigation.Demonstrated success handling mandamus, declaratory actions, habeas petitions, and detention relief cases.Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.Prior experience in supervising attorneys, paralegals, or leading a legal team strongly preferred.Ability to triage and assign cases effectively between case managers and attorneys.Strong organizational and accountability skills, proven record of meeting deadlines and productivity goals.Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project / case management tools.Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonusesHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with employer contributionPaid time off, CLE / professional development budget, and bar duesCareer growth opportunity in a fast-scaling, and technology driven practice.
